Vickie Micheau has been the Director of the Delta County Chamber of Commerce since 1999 and one of the founders of the Delta Force leadership program. Since 1999 the Delta County Chamber has grown to 700 members, making it the largest Chamber in the UP. It was her vision to bring the Delta County Chamber, the EDA, the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, and the Builder’s Exchange together under one roof as the Delta County Commerce Center, a concept that is being copied as a model of excellence by other communities. Vickie and her Commerce Center team spearheaded the efforts to transfer the UP State Fair safely into the hands of Delta County and the Fair Authority, making our fair the ONLY Michigan State Fair. Vickie is an entrepreneur herself, and has launched a number of successful businesses with her husband, Gary, including Delcomp/Softek – a venture that brought business computing to Delta County.

We will be discussing how Chambers can build community relationships, market and strengthen businesses to make them more profitable. We’d love to have you attend and share your ideas!

Sincerely,

Sheila Schmidt, Chamber Director

Phelps Chamber of Commerce
