Jacquart, Featured Speaker at Annual Dinner

top view of ski jumpThe Vilas County Chamber will be hosting its annual dinner on Thursday, February 15th. The evening will include time for socializing, a tasty meal provided by Skyview Lodge and an exciting presentation from Robert (Bob) Jacquart regarding the future of Copper Peak and its impact on Vilas County.

Bob Jacquart is the Chief Executive Officer of Jacquart Fabric Products, based in Ironwood, Michigan. Since coming on board as manager in 1970, Bob has built Jacquart’s into an award-winning, multi-brand company with a national reputation, including the popular Stormy Kromer. This three-generational family-ran business, employing over 120 workers, places great importance on community and family.
One of Bob’s primary passions is his role as a board member and the Vision Committee Chair for Copper Peak, Inc. He’s currently overseeing its re-emergence as a world-class competitive winter sports venue. It is fast on its way to becoming a global recreation destination and a prime U.S. location for top-level international ski jump competitions. Bob will be sharing his vision of the future of Copper Peak, and its potential impact on Vilas County and the whole region.

Skyview Lodge Presque IsleThe Annual Dinner will be hosted by the Presque Isle Chamber of Commerce at the Skyview Lodge. The evening will begin with a social hour at 6:00 pm, followed by dinner at 6:30 pm. Dinner choices include a pasta with braised broccoli and white wine tomato sauce, sundried tomato encrusted pork chop, and sweet and sour walleye. Dinners include tea or coffee, salad, rolls, asiago mashed potatoes and dessert. Skyview Lodge is located at 11896 County Road W in Presque Isle.

The Vilas County Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization comprised of all twelve Chambers of Commerce within Vilas County and the Vilas County Tourism & Publicity Department. The organization exists to explore and initiate appropriate, cooperative projects in which individual Chambers and other tourism-related entities within the county can participate. The organization strives to provide a conduit for the sharing of information among all members, promotes Vilas County as a tourism destination, encourages and promotes community and county improvement and seeks legislation which will further the interests of its members.
