The Phelps Area Volunteer Fire Department and Phelps Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary now have their 2018 Picnic & Pig Roast raffle tickets available for sale.

This year marks the 62^nd Annual Fireman’s Picnic & Pig Roast for the Department, and the raffle tickets are a big part of the day’s fundraising activities. Funds raised by the raffles and during the Pig Roast help to support the completion of Fire Station # 2, allowing the Department to better service such a large geographical area.

This year’s grand prize raffle offers a chance to win a Canadian Fishing Vacation for 2 at Andy Meyers Lodge ($4000 value), a 26” Mongoose Malus Fat Tire Bike, a 10’ Pelican Ultimate 100 SE Kayak with a paddle, and several other prizes. Tickets are $5 a piece or 3 for $10 and can be purchased from any member of the Fire Department or from the Phelps Chamber office and numerous local businesses.

The drawing will take place at 9 pm on August 4^th, during the Pig Roast. The Annual Picnic & Pig Roast will be a whole day of fun for all ages at Wavering Park, beginning at noon on August 4^th. The festivities include live music, delicious food, children’s activities, and more.
