Phelps 4th of July Celebration Includes Giant Firework

HUGE Firework Display, HUGE Fun in Phelps!

The annual Phelps 4th of July celebration will be taking place on Sunday, July 2nd, starting at 3:00.

The best small-town 4th of July Celebration will finish off the day with a bang as fireworks kick off at dusk over beautiful North Twin Lake. This year, Phelps is proud to feature the largest legal firework in Wisconsin as part of our show, with only three of these giants sold in the state! It’s always a great display, but this year promises to be extra special! Watch from the shore, watch from your boat, watch from your dock – you don’t want to miss this!

4th of July Grand Parade – Downtown Phelps

But before the fireworks comes all sorts of fun. The festivities will kick off with a grand parade at 3 pm, led by Parade Marshal Nancy Buell of Phelps. Nancy was born and raised in Phelps, and attended school here. She was born to Mildred and Ike Buell, who did some work with the Chamber in his day. Nancy has 4 sons, 16 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. She likes the quietness of Phelps and the people.

Nancy was nominated this year for her kind heart and generosity with seniors. She enjoys buying and making gifts for the local seniors because “They’ve worked hard to take care of their families, now it’s their turn to have someone look out for them.” We are honored to have Nancy leading our parade this year.

The parade is just the beginning. The concessions tent will be serving burgers, brats and hot dogs, as well as popcorn and beverages, from 3 pm to dusk. The Phelps Volunteer Fire Department will be serving beer and wine, as well as selling raffle tickets for the upcoming Fireman’s Picnic & Pig Roast.

There will be a wonderful variety of live music throughout the day, kicking off with Kyle Mertz at 3:30 pm. He will be followed by Mark Wayne at 5:30 and the Night Screamer Band at 8:00, who is sure to put on a great show.
