This year will mark the 5th year that Phelps has held Maple Syrup Fest to celebrate the Wisconsin heritage of maple syrup. Over the years, the event has continued to grow and gain popularity. This year’s Maple Syrup Fest Arts & Crafts Fair will feature more than 50 unique vendors at the Phelps School on April 2nd!

Local Maple SyrupYou will, of course, find local maple syrup from several different sugar bushes, some that you can visit and see for yourself on the sugar bush tour. Be sure to pick up your Maple Syrup Fest ‘got sap?’ souvenir and a Phelps on the Lake hoodie!

Shop a wide variety of items, including handmade soaps and lotions, alpaca knit items and products, and hand-knit hats and more.  But that’s not all! Wood carvings, fishing gear, pet accessories, pottery, stone jewelry, Lake Superior agates – there will be a wonderful selection of handmade items to browse! Try a Maple Syrup Latte, or take home some locally produced cheese or homemade butter toffee. Visitors will also find popular products from vendors like Thirty One, Younique, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Mary Kay and Scentsy.

Several local clubs and organizations will be joining the fun in Phelps for this year’s Maple Syrup Fest. Trees for Tomorrow, Phelps Museum, and Phelps Women’s Club will be present. Land O’ Lakes Area Artisans and the Phelps Library will be in attendance with children’s activities, as well as the Northwoods Children’s Museum with Maple Taffy on the Snow.

In addition to the Craft Fair, Maple Syrup Fest offers visitors a chance to tour local sugar bushes, participate in tree-tapping demonstrations, sample maple-themed foods at the Maple Cafe, and enjoy a variety of free family fun.  We hope to see you at the Phelps School on April 2nd!
