Join us for a day of fun on North Twin Lake!

Blizzard Splash is sure to be a day of fun for all ages! This Northwoods BLIZZARD BLAST event will take place on the lake shore in front of Great Escape on Saturday, January 25th from 2 pm to 5:30 pm.

Enjoy hot chocolate and a bonfire on the lake front as you play in the snow and take in the view. Inside, check out the firefighters auction and sample the entries in the chili cook-off. Think your chili has what it takes to win? Just bring in a pot of your best recipe to enter it in the competition. The winner will receive a $25 Phelps Chamber Bucks gift certificate. Free hot dogs will be available for kids.

Watch as our volunteer firefighters brave the ice waters of North Twin Lake in a 'BOB OFF' competition to see who can last the longest in their cold water rescue gear.

Participating firefighters are collecting pledges, based on how long each can “bob" in the water. Make your pledge on your bet to win by calling the Phelps Chamber at 715-545-3800 or contacting the firefighters directly.

Then join us in lighting up the sky for the heroes we have lost. Memorial lanterns will be lit off over the lake at dark, with the paper lanterns available for purchase during the event.

Proceeds from Northwoods BLIZZARD BLAST support local Fire & EMS Departments in Conover, Phelps & Land O’ Lakes.
