Freshman fundraiser planned
The Phelps High School freshman class is sponsoring a fundraiser breakfast at Sunrise Lodge located at 5899 West Shore Road, Land O Lakes, on Saturday April 9th from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Price of tickets for this event are $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for children 10 and younger. The breakfast will offer patrons a full range of breakfast items including eggs, waffles, pancakes, coffee and juices, bacon, ham, and other breakfast foods. It is a sit down style breakfast with students taking orders and delivering the meals. Tickets can be purchased from freshman students or can be bought at the door. Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to pay for expenses of the junior prom, graduation expenses, and senior class trip.
Dick and Elsie Mendham and family graciously offered their lodge for this school fundraiser breakfast. Last year, this class did a breakfast fundraiser event and donated the profits to Dave Johnson, a Phelps resident who was severely injured in a construction accident last year. We hope that the community will again support this class as it tries to fund school activities for the coming years.
