Wilderness Snowshoeing Adventures Await You
Phelps is located in the snow belt, which means we generally have snow from early December well into March, often very fresh snow even. Snowshoeing is great exercise and can be quite relaxing, whether you’re following a snowshoe trail or breaking your own trail through the Nicolet National Forest.
Be careful to avoid snowmobile trails and cross-country ski trails when enjoying your day on snowshoes. The slower pace of this silent sport means you are more likely to catch a glimpse of an animal. It also means that you are more in-tune to the beauty of nature surrounding you. Wilderness snowshoeing in Phelps promises to make for a one-of-a-kind winter vacation!
