VILAS COUNTY CHAMBER ANNOUNCES 2016 VILAS COUNTY ACCOMMODATION TOUR & WORKSHOP

The 2016 Vilas County Accommodation Tour and Workshop has been set for Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 8:15am-3pm. All area businesses, accommodation owners and managers are invited to participate in this tour and workshop hosted by the Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce and co-sponsored by the Vilas County Tourism & Publicity Department, Vilas County Chamber of Commerce, and the Northwoods Chapter of the Hotel and Lodging Association.
According to event organizers, accommodations in the Boulder Junction area scheduled for the morning session tour include: Acorn Lodge Hotel, Sweet Emma’s, Wildcat Lodge, Fishtrap Resort, and Big Bear Hideaway. Registration will be at the Acorn Lodge Hotel at 8:15am and following the tour a luncheon will be held at The Granary. During the afternoon session, Jamie Burkart, an adjunct instructor at Nicolet College, will discuss resources available to help build, run, and expand businesses. She will also be discussing branding and marketing and how to recognize how it is helping your business.

Vilas County Accommodations Tour SpeakerMs. Burkart has a great knowledge of entrepreneurship through her personal business ventures as well as through the work she does for Nicolet College as an instructor for business plan development. “The afternoon presentation will be followed by a roundtable discussion,” stated Penny Weisman, President of the Vilas County Chamber, “affording attendees the opportunity to share practical ideas and solutions to common problems.”

The Tour and workshop fee is $20 per person which includes morning coffee/rolls, the luncheon and the workshop. Pre-registration is required no later than Thursday, October 6, 2016.
