Phelps Chamber Seeking Tournament Judges

The Phelps Chamber is seeking judges for the upcoming Midwest Musky Classic that will take place on October 7th, 8th, and 9th. We need judges on the water on Friday and Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm and on Sunday from 7 am to 11 am, on North Twin Lake, South Twin Lake, Lac Vieux Desert and Big Sand Lake. Judges receive $40 per day to help with their expense, a tournament hat, and are invited to attend the ceremony luncheon on Sunday following the tournament for a free meal. As participants catch a musky, they will be calling their lake’s judge boat with their location and the judge needs to go to the site of the catch, per DNR catch-and-release tournament rules. The fish would be measured and the judge would ensure it was properly released after recording name of participant, time, location, and size of catch. This could be a fun way to spend a weekend day! If interested, please call Celeste at 715-545-3800.
