Phelps Pure Maple Syrup Sale
Along with the end of winter comes the beginning of the maple syrup season. Come to Phelps on April 11 and join us at the school, located at 4451 Old School Rd. for our 4th annual Phelps Maple Syrup Fest. At the school, you will be able to get a taste of an old Phelps tradition of making pure maple syrup. We will have Pure Maple Syrup, produced in Phelps by various local producers, for sale. Stock up on this all natural sweetener. Not only will you be doing yourself a favor, but you will also help support the “Phelps Area Scholarship Fund”,as $1.00 from each container sold will go towards this fund. This scholarship is offered to one student from the area to continue their education after this year’s graduation. The area schools included are: Phelps, Northland Pines, Three Lakes and West Iron in Iron River, MI. Our goal is to provide more than one scholarship as proceeds from the event increase.
Bring the family and enjoy all the activities offered at the Fest. There will be something for everyone including breakfast from 8 AM to 11 AM with waffles and Johnsonville Maple sausage and Phelps Pure Maple Syrup and more, hands-on tree tapping demonstrations, craft show and sale, kids’ activities, taffy on the snow, maple equipment display and sale, lunch from Sunrise’s Maple Cafe’, guided bus tours of local sugar bushes and a maple syrup judging contest with various celebrities as judges, including Wisconsin’s own Alice in Dairyland.
There will also be a raffle for some great prizes which include a Husqvarna 38”18.5 HP lawn tractor, Maple Syrup starter kit with stainless flat pan and preheater pan w/accessories and a Weber Grill with accessories. Get your tickets for a chance to win!
