Get Involved with the Phelps Chamber!

Attend Meetings & Networking Events

Want to keep up on what the Phelps Chamber has been up to? Drop in on a meeting – it’s your right as Chamber members. Have a topic you would like addressed? Get it on the agenda! Make sure to attend networking events – this is a great chance to learn something new or have an enjoyable evening with fellow local professionals, as well as reminding them about your business. Bring some business cards or flyers to share!

Join a Committee

What Chamber activities are you interested in? Would you like to help out with local events and event planning? Or would you like to do your part to spread the message about Phelps and our great local businesses with the Marketing Committee? Have a talent for networking? Get on board by becoming a committee member to have your great ideas heard!

Volunteer at Events

When you volunteer a couple hours of your time for a local event like 4th of July, the Midwest Musky Classic, or Maple Syrup Fest, you are helping that event succeed. Local events rely on dedicated volunteers to make all the pieces come together and the day go smooth. If you are interested in donating some of your time, please contact Chamber Director Sheila Schmidt. And don’t forget that volunteered hours can earn you a discount on your membership dues! Just make sure your time is recorded and logged to receive your discount!

Refer New Members

As the Phelps Chamber continues to grow and receive more attention, it is a great time to be a new member! Are you enjoying the marketing benefits from your membership? Share this with a fellow business because the bigger we grow, the more exposure for your business! And don’t forget to collect a discount on your membership dues for new referrals!

Participate in Online Conversationsfacebook likes

These graphs demonstrates the growing interest in the Phelps Chamber Facebook page and website. We now have over 4500 followers on Facebook, with more every day! When your business comments on and shares our posts, you become more visible to our followers. The more often that potential visitors or locals see your business active in online conversations, the more likely they are to frequent your business. And this helps the Chamber continue to grow our reach, which is good for your business!

Another way to participate online is on the Phelps Chamber Blog. A recent history blog was shared almost 750 times! This means that if you comment, with your business name included, on an article that interests you – add a fact or story, share your business knowledge, or recommend a spot to visit – this will be seen by hundreds of people! Share your opinion and increase interest in your business, all while doing your part to spread the word about the Phelps Chamber Blog. Now that’s working together!
