Phelps Chamber Annual Dinner & Meeting Scheduled for October 11
The Phelps Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner & Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 11th at Sunrise Lodge. Chamber members and the public are invited to attend the dinner. Social hour begins at 6 pm, with dinner at 6:30. Guests can look forward a tasty array of dinner selections from Sunrise’s chefs, including maple glazed roasted chicken and honey mustard pecan crusted baked salmon. Tickets are $18, which includes the meal, tax and gratuity. Dinner will be served with soup or frost, salad bar, potato, vegetable, bread and dessert.
Following the dinner, Jeff Anderson from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism will be giving a presentation on the impact of tourism on Vilas County and how the Department works will local Chambers, such as Phelps. Chamber Director Celeste Hendrickson will share highlights from the 2016 season and a look ahead into 2017 before the annual meeting and elections begin.
This year, there are 5 seats open for election on the Phelps Chamber Board of Directors. Chamber members in good standing are eligible to fill a seat on the board. Those interested in serving a term or in nominating a fellow business owner should contact Celeste at 715-545-3800 to learn more about what is involved. This is a great way to become more familiar with how your Chamber operates and to have a part in shaping the future of the Chamber. Being a board member can be very rewarding.
