ATV/UTV Trails

Load up the ATVs and UTVs!

Did you know that you can now access 130+ miles of preferred routes and trails by ATV/UTV from Phelps? From May to October, town roads and county roads are open to registered Off Road Vehicles, giving you just one more way to get out and enjoy the great outdoors in Vilas County!

ATV routes and trails now connect the communities of Phelps, Eagle River, Conover, Land O' Lakes, Lincoln and Washington to Forest and Oneida Counties, where more off road fun awaits you. These routes also connect to the trails of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Thank you to the Landover ATV/UTV Club!

It is only with the dedication of the Landover ATV club that the Phelps area is accessibly by off road vehicles. The club has worked hard to open up these routes, mark the trails and preferred routes, and keep them well maintained. In return, the Club asks all ORV riders to remember to follow all the rules so that this motorized sport remains available in our area.

And they aren't done bringing the fun yet! The Club is sponsoring the development of an off-highway motorcycle trail and course. Dual sport cycling would open up even more adventure and fun.
