Phelps Maple Syrup FestFree Local Event in Phelps!

Family Fun begins in Phelps Wisconsin on Saturday, April 11th, 2015  from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Phelps School located at 4451 Old School Rd! Celebrate the Northwoods tradition of making maple syrup with free admission and a free bus tour of local sugar bushes, where you will experience small scale family hobby operations to large size commercial producers.  Experience tree-tapping and the magical aroma of boiling sap.

Craft Show & Kids Activities

 

A large variety of craft vendors will be on hand offering a wide array of beautiful hand crafted products. The Maple Café will be open at the festival serving up a delicious menu for breakfast and lunch.  The Phelps Library and Northwoods Children’s Museum will be providing all kinds of kid friendly activities that everyone will enjoy.  Families can sit back and relax during a winter hayride with a cup of hot chocolate.

There will be a maple syrup judging contest with local celebrities and a maple syrup presentation given by Wisconsin’s own Alice in Dairyland!

A grand prize raffle, 50/50 raffle and silent auction will be taking place with a large assortment of excellent prizes including: an 18HP Husqvarna Lawn Tractor valued at $1500, a Stainless Steel Maple Syrup Evaporator Pan with Feeder Pan and accessories valued at $500, and a Weber Grill with accessories valued at $200.
